Welcome to our FAQ Section
Here, you'll find answers to the most common questions about our products and methods. We've gathered all the essential information to guide you through your experience with PurDélys. If you can't find the answer you're looking for, our team is always available to help with your inquiries.
What quality and food safety certifications does PurDélys hold?
We are proud to hold several top-tier certifications, including Canada Organic and USDA Organic, both endorsed by the certifying body Ecocert Canada, ensuring that our products are grown according to strict organic practices. Additionally, we are certified Canada GAP, options C and D, guaranteeing the traceability and food safety of all our grains, fresh fruits, and vegetables.
What does the Canada Organic certification mean?
Ecocert is an internationally recognized organization for organic certification. This certification ensures that our farming practices comply with strict sustainable production standards, free from harmful chemicals, while promoting biodiversity and soil protection.
How can I be sure that your products are traceable?
As part of our Canada GAP certification, we have implemented rigorous traceability systems. This allows us to track every step of production, from planting to delivery, ensuring full transparency regarding the origin and quality of our products.
Why are organic vegetables more expensive than conventionally grown vegetables?
Organic farming requires more time, more labor, and comes with a significantly higher risk of crop loss in the field. As a result, production costs are higher.
While certified organic fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides are available, at PurDélys, we prefer to take a proactive approach, working hand in hand with the surrounding ecosystem.
- We naturally maintain soil health through various techniques and technological advancements.
- We prioritize manual or mechanical weeding.
- We invest in research and development to select vegetable varieties that are both delicious and resistant.
Are all the fruits and vegetables in a field harvested at the same time?
No. To ensure that our vegetables are always fresh and flavorful, we sow each field in a way that allows for multiple harvests throughout the season. Each day, and for every order, we select which section of the field will be harvested based on the maturity of the crops.
What are your delivery times for distributors?
Delivery times depend on the order volume, product availability, and location. We offer fast and efficient delivery options to ensure the freshness of our products. During the local season, vegetables are typically harvested either the same morning or the day before. After all, there’s no better storage for our organic fruits and vegetables than the field itself, firmly rooted until the very last moment.

What is a Synthetic Input?
A synthetic input in agriculture is a product manufactured by the chemical and petrochemical industries to enhance agricultural production. This includes fertilizers, insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides.
The production processes for these inputs can generate pollutants and consume significant energy. Moreover, their presence in the environment can contaminate soil and water, harm biodiversity, and leave residues in food, posing potential risks to human health.
