Connected to the Land to Do Better
Through our connection to the land, we are deeply aware of the impact our activities have on the environment and society. Three times a day, people rely on the work of farmers to fill their plates. At PurDélys, we do not take this responsibility lightly, but we aim to do more than just feed—we strive to feed better on every level. The call for eco-responsibility, the need to respect nature in our farming practices and to prioritize the health of both soil and people, came to us over 20 years ago. Today, we abundantly reap the benefits of this work, moving beyond traditional farming practices to provide high-volume organic products without harming biodiversity. By basing our decisions on agronomic knowledge and continuously seeking the best technological advancements, we are and will remain committed to being positive change-makers in the food industry.
A TESTED-AND-PROVEN METHOD
« In the 1970s, while studying at the Institut de technologie agroalimentaire du Québec, I was called rebellious and idealistic for dreaming of organic farming. Starting in the 1990s, we began doubling the drainage in our fields, using laser leveling and later GPS technology when it became available. During annual meetings with the pest and disease monitoring network, I realized that thanks to our innovative water management techniques, we were the most organic of conventional farms. Transitioning to organic farming was, therefore, a completely natural step. »

4 ELEMENTS
Maintaining the Balance of Elements: The Foundation of Nourishing Organic Farming
Air
Constantly exposed to the wind, our field-grown vegetables naturally develop greater cell density and resilience. Air quality analysis also plays a key role in disease prevention, enabling us to detect potential issues before they become visible to the naked eye.
EARTH
Each of our lands has its own unique characteristics. To balance soil structure and keep it vibrant, we study the resilience of each field, tailor our interventions, and enhance the living environment of beneficial microorganisms.
WATER
A source of life, water is essential for the growth of organic fruits and vegetables, as well as for preserving soil microorganisms. While we can’t control rainfall, drainage systems and land leveling help us make efficient use of this precious resource.
LIGHT
With the changing seasons, our field crops benefit from sunlight that provides the most natural photosynthesis. However, too much sun can harm soil microorganisms, which thrive under the protection of our cover crops.
REGENERATION
The earth is generous. We connect to its natural wealth and work with it using methods that are both innovative and respectful. We rely on sustainable techniques to revitalize the soil, encourage biodiversity, and strengthen ecosystems. Crop diversity, cover crops protecting against the sun’s rays, and mixed farming are all agronomic actions on our farm that follow a holistic approach rooted in agroecology, ensuring the longevity of our lands. At PurDélys, we believe regenerative agriculture is essential to growing eco-responsible organic products while preserving the planet. Every step of our production process is part of a virtuous cycle where nature is restored rather than exploited.
Convictions
The harmony in the interdependent relationships we maintain with Mother Nature and our employees is essential to serving our customers well. We are all connected, and this is why environmental and social responsibility is more than a priority—it’s a way of life. All our organic fruits and vegetables come from responsible sourcing, made possible by generations of agricultural expertise and proven organic methods. We implement sustainable and transparent farming practices to reduce our ecological footprint while fueling the sense of purpose and balance that drives all our collaborators.
Innovation
We harness nature-friendly technologies to stay deeply connected to the land, enhance our agricultural practices, and reduce our ecological footprint. Weather stations and various sensors support our active listening to nature, helping us anticipate and prevent damage without the use of synthetic pesticides. Seed-sowing drones and intelligent weeding machines allow us to observe and act in the fields gently and sustainably. As pioneers in sustainable organic farming, we invest in cutting-edge solutions that boost production while safeguarding ecosystems. This approach enables us to deliver sustainable organic products with unmatched freshness, perfectly suited to today’s environmental challenges.
Spore sensors help us quickly detect imbalances and prevent diseases.
Our tractors are equipped with GPS to optimize seed orientation based on land leveling.
Artificial intelligence enables the recognition of weeds and mechanical weeding.
Our weather stations provide continuous updates on everything affecting our growing environments.
